Senator Kirk deViere Recognized as an Environmental Rising Star
North Carolina League of Conservation Voters Acknowledge Environmental Issues Work
RALEIGH, N.C. – The North Carolina League of Conservation Voters board recognized Senator Kirk deViere as a recipient of the “Rising Star” award that will be issued at the 2020 Green Tie Awards on October 7, 2020 at 8:00pm.
“I’m proud of my voting record and advocacy on environmental issues,” said Senator Kirk deViere, “I recognize that we are on the front lines of climate justice and I look forward to working with my colleagues to make progress on this critical issue.”
Senator Kirk deViere is in his first term representing Cumberland County in the State Senate. In addition to this award, Senator deViere was also recently recognized as a “Jobs Advocate” by the NC Chamber of Commerce for his stellar support of pro-business legislation.
