Senator deViere wants to congratulate the  Fayetteville NAACP  for a great Founders Banquet last weekend. The event was a great opportunity to honor strong women rooted in civil rights. Senator deViere had the honor of being with both Associate Justice Anita Earls and Chief Justice Cheri Beasley.

Senator deViere was proud to Co-Sponsor SB 184 which would Ratify the Equal Rights Amendment! ERA supporters from Cumberland County met Sen. deViere and he was happy to share his thoughts on equality and justice for women and all North Carolinians!

Senator deViere & the rest of the Cumberland County Legislative Delegation were honored to welcome  Fayetteville State University Professor, Dorance Kennedy and others from Cumberland County advocating for Social Workers to the General Assembly.

INVESTITURE OF CHERI BEASLEY (CHIEF JUSTICE OF THE NC SUPREME COURT)

Senator deViere, members of the legislature, and special guests had the opportunity to witness the investiture of Chief Justice Cheri Beasley to the NC Supreme Court today.
